The contribution was made by the Absa Legal Recoveries team as part of its Corporate Social Investment initiative, helping the hospice generate much-needed income to continue serving the community.

Major sporting, cultural and entertainment events generated more than R5 billion for Cape Town's economy during the 2025/26 financial year.
The events attracted about 4.1 million spectators and participants and created more than 31,000 temporary and permanent jobs across tourism, hospitality and related industries.
