The San Salvador Community Hub Choir in Johannesburg is using music to build confidence and break down barriers for people living with intellectual disabilities and who are neurodiverse.
After their first public performance in April, the choir has gone on to perform at several care centres, creating meaningful connections through music and including South African Sign Language in one of its performances.
The choir will next perform at the Franklin Players Playground Fest at the Roosevelt Park Recreation Centre in Johannesburg on 31 July.

The Western Cape Mobility Department has expanded its Jobseekers Travel Voucher Programme to George, giving unemployed residents free bus travel while they search for work.
The initiative provides eligible jobseekers with a preloaded GO GEORGE Smart Card that can be used for six free bus trips to attend interviews, submit CVs and access employment opportunities.
The programme has already helped more than 24 000 jobseekers in Cape Town and aims to remove transport costs as a barrier to finding work.
Muneera Allie from the Western Cape Department of Mobility says the registration process is simple.

The University of Pretoria has launched a R50 million fundraising campaign to help about 1,500 graduates receive their degree certificates by settling qualifying historical debt.
The three year initiative will prioritise South African undergraduate graduates who have completed their studies but cannot access their qualifications because of unpaid fees.
The campaign aims to help them secure jobs, continue studying and register with professional bodies.
