The new intake is expected to not only bolster the JMPD's efforts to maintain law and order in the city but to also provide opportunities for young people to pursue a career in law enforcement.

Local Football Clubs Shine at Winnie Radebe Foundation's Soccer Tournament

The Winnie Radebe Foundation recently hosted its school holiday soccer tournament at the Green Village sports ground, providing a platform for local football clubs to showcase their skills.
The tournament, which took place last month featured U17 and U15 clubs from around Soweto.
Founder Winnie Radebe says this was the third edition of the tournament, and the foundation hopes to continue hosting the event to keep young people engaged and away from negative influences during the school holidays.
The winners of the tournament, Dobsonville Gardince United and the Juventus local football clubs received soccer kits and balls, medals, and trophies.

Real Madrid Foundation Director Andreas Borra says the launch of their Educational Football Program will use cutting-edge technology to promote football as a tool for education, upholding the foundation's core values of equality, respect, teamwork, and effort.
This comes as the Foundation has launched its third educational football facility in South Africa, located at the Taroko Campus of the Generation School in Modderfontein, following the successful openings of two campuses in the Western Cape.
This initiative provides world-class football training to young athletes in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
