Music icon and five-time Grammy award winner Angélique Kidjo is again making history, by becoming the first African musician to be selected for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Kidjo as one of the 2026 honourees alongside celebrated icons such as Shaquille O'Neal and Miley Cyrus.

With a musical career that spans four decades and 16 albums releases, Kidjo has also worked with UNICEF and the Batonga Foundation as an advocate for African women and girls and has been a captivating figure on the international scene for 40 years.
