4-Day Water Maintenance Affects Sandton, Midrand

Residents in Sandton, Midrand, Alexander Park, South Hills, Randjieslaagte and Linksfield have been notified of Rand Water's 4-day maintenance plan from tomorrow until Friday.
The work involves repairs to the O-2 pipeline ahead of the high-demand season in August.
Pumping will be reduced causing low pressure or water outages.
Johannesburg Water says alternative water supply will be arranged.
Residents are urged to store water in advance, as full system recovery may take time post-maintenance.

A total of 23 000 learners from underperforming schools in Mpumalanga will benefit from the provincial Education department's 2025 Winter Vacation Classes.
The learners that achieved below 80% in the 2024 National Senior Certificate Examination – are enrolled in the winter program which will conclude on the 18th of July.
The sessions are being held at 107 established centres across the province, including 15 residential sites.
Department spokesperson, Gerald Sambo says the classes aim to help learners catch up on lost academic ground and will expose the learners to teaching strategies from the province’s most skilled and knowledgeable educators.
