Siza Gule, from Soweto, will be flying to the US later this year to study law and politics at Harvard University.
The 18-year-old learner from St John’s College earned nine distinctions and achieved a 94% average in his matric results, securing a scholarship to one of the world’s leading institutions.
His top marks in mathematics, physical sciences, English and dramatic arts placed him among South Africa’s highest performers and opened the door to his international academic journey.

SA sprinter lands US scholarship

One of South Africa’s fastest rising sprinters, Karabo Letebele, will continue his athletics career in the United States.
He signed a four-year scholarship with the University of Arkansas, choosing it over offers from USC, UCLA and Arizona.
Last year, Letebele beat African record holder Ferdinand Omanyala at Athletics South Africa’s Grand Prix.
He will follow in the footsteps of top sprinter Jordan Anthony while competing and training in the US:

South Korean boy band, BTS, released their World Tour dates yesterday, confirming the group’s first global run since completing military service earlier this year.
The tour supports BTS’s upcoming project, The 5th Album, set for release in March.
The group started making music again after a two-and-a-half-year break.
Organizers say they will announce more cities later, so more shows might be added in 2027.
