South African education company Teach Me 2 has been named among TIME’s World’s Top EdTech Companies 2026.
Founded by Nick Miller, the company invested in technology to match tutors with learners and began developing online tutoring before the COVID-19 pandemic.
When in-person tutoring stopped, Teach Me 2 shifted online and has since expanded its services to more than 50 countries.
The recognition marks another step in Teach Me 2’s journey from local startup to global education player.

Norwood Youth Organisation Creates Arts Opportunities

A Norwood youth organisation is using the arts to give young people skills and opportunities outside the classroom.
Jozi Youth Empire, founded by Mapula Mojela, runs dance, music, modelling, drama and public-speaking classes at Paterson Park three days a week.
The organisation recently helped one of its young members, Rorisang Simelane, take part in South Africa Kids Fashion Week.
JYE is also preparing to host the Miss JYE 2027 pageant in December and is looking for sponsors to expand its programmes.
