South African education company Teach Me 2 has been named among TIME’s World’s Top EdTech Companies 2026.
Founded by Nick Miller, the company invested in technology to match tutors with learners and began developing online tutoring before the COVID-19 pandemic.
When in-person tutoring stopped, Teach Me 2 shifted online and has since expanded its services to more than 50 countries.
The recognition marks another step in Teach Me 2’s journey from local startup to global education player.

The University of Pretoria’s Girls in STEM Programme is helping open doors to science and technology careers for young women.
More than 100 Grade 10 to 12 girls from five Pretoria schools are getting a closer look at careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
They took part in practical chemistry and mathematics activities and met women already working in STEM fields.
Zanele Ntuli, a teacher at one of the participating schools, says she hopes to leave behind learners who are passionate about science.
