Clearwater Mall has transformed its upper-level parking area into a vibrant celebration of Indian culture with the launch of the Made in India Market.
The market opened on 1 August and runs daily from 10:00 to 21:00 until 17 August, with a small R10 entrance fee. Shoppers can explore a variety of traditional Indian clothing, handcrafted décor, jewellery, spices, and ceremonial items.
Food is a highlight, with chefs preparing samosas, jalebi, biryani, and the popular street snack, pani puri.
The market brings exhibitors from across India, making it easy for South Africans to enjoy authentic products and festive treasures without travelling abroad.

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group has launched a mental health support group for young adults aged 18 to 35.
The initiative aims to break the stigma around mental health by creating a safe environment for young people to share their experiences and work through personal challenges.
Organisers hope the group will encourage open conversations, helping participants confront trauma and take steps toward healing.
It’s part of ongoing efforts to make mental health care more accessible and inclusive

The Young Artists’ Project exhibition will be staged at the KZNSA Gallery in Glenwood, Durban from 22 August to 21 September, showcasing the work of emerging talent in KwaZulu-Natal.
Founded in 2002 by then-curator Storm Janse van Rensburg and revived in 2020 with support from Rand Mutual Assurance, the initiative offers young artists mentorship, professional guidance, and a platform for their first solo exhibitions.
This year’s edition features N’lamwai Luntha Chithambo and Zama Mwandla, whose work will be unveiled at the official opening on Friday, 22 August.
Free public walkabouts with the artists take place on Saturday, 23 August, from 10am to noon, with school and university groups also invited to engage with the creatives.
