South African Airways will launch two daily flights between Johannesburg and Botswana from the 4th of November.

The new route aims to improve direct regional travel options for both business and leisure passengers.

Group CEO Professor John Lamola says the launch aims to strengthen the cultural and economic ties between Botswana and South Africa and reinforce SAA’s position as a premium network carrier.

The South African Tourism Department is pursuing a strategy to diversify tourism offerings to less-visited provinces, to increase visitor spread across the country, in order to stimulate local economies.

The strategy is part of the Department's 2025-2030 strategic plan, which emphasizes growing the tourism sector by improving infrastructure to market less-explored regions.
The main goal is to shift visitor volumes and revenue to less-visited peri-urban areas.

Eskom has launched its first fleet of electric vehicles, in a significant step towards sustainable transport and cleaner energy.

The launch event featured interactive demonstrations and test drives, showcasing key benefits such as lower emissions, reduced operating costs and improved efficiency.

The initial fleet of 20 electric vehicles includes a mix of light delivery vehicles and light trucks which will be used in the utility’s distribution and generation divisions.
