STEMpower’s Free Training Helps Rwandan Entrepreneur Create Jobs
Teaser / Tailpiece story
STEMpower’s free practical electronics training helped 26-year-old Rwandan entrepreneur Emmanuel Tuyisenge turn his interest in technology into a business serving his community.
Tuyisenge joined the programme in 2022 when he could not afford formal training to become an electronics technician.
He went on to open his own repair workshop, saving residents trips of more than 60 kilometres for similar services, and has since trained 10 young people who have opened their own repair businesses.
STEMpower’s Country and Regional Director in Rwanda, Espoir Serukiza, says the goal is to see young people put the skills they learn through the programme into practice.
