Story 1
The City of Johannesburg has delivered long-overdue infrastructure improvements around Pan Africa Shopping Centre in Region E.
Teams from the Johannesburg Roads Agency cleared blocked storm water drains, repaired damaged tar roads, and patched potholes along 2nd and 3rd streets. City Power also addressed hazardous illegal electricity connections.
The upgrades aim to improve road safety, flood resilience, and public safety in Alexandra’s busy commercial corridor.
City officials said the work forms part of a broader high-impact service delivery operation, focusing on sustainable maintenance and better public spaces for residents and businesses.
Ward 91 councillor Andrew Stewart urged continued efforts to ensure the precinct remains clean and safe for the community
