Imbumba Foundation expands Caring4Girls to The Bahamas

The Imbumba Foundation has completed a successful mission to The Bahamas aimed at expanding its menstrual hygiene programme for schoolgirls.
CEO Richard Mabaso visited the country following an invitation from British High Commissioner to The Bahamas Smita Rossetti, to advance the Caring4Girls initiative.
The programme will focus on education, access to sanitary products, and long-term sustainability partnerships, supported by UK government funding and South African diplomatic cooperation.
From its base in Sandton, the foundation says the initiative aims to reduce period poverty and help keep more girls in school.

Johannesburg based Hubo Studio has been shortlisted in three categories at the Architizer A Plus Awards, one of the world’s leading architecture competitions.
The Norwood firm is among five finalists globally for Best Small Firm, while its Redhill Early Learning Centre has also been nominated in the Best Kindergarten and Best Educational Interior categories.
The project was designed as a child friendly learning space with open areas and indoor outdoor flow to support early childhood development.
The studio says the recognition highlights the role of design in shaping how children learn and grow, while also placing South African architecture on the global stage.
