The R27 billion Southern Farms Mega City Project, has officially broken ground at the Bushkoppies Site Camp in Johannesburg.

The site handover, marked the start of a 10-year initiative,, aimed at delivering integrated housing and economic upliftment in the South of Johannesburg.

The MMC for Human Settlements, Mlungisi Mabaso,
emphasised the project’s long-term impact and its potential to tackle Joburg’s housing crisis, while reviving the city’s economy.

The Sport, Arts and Culture, Minister Gayton McKenzie in collaboration with Western Cape Provincial Department of Cultural Affairs and Sports, has officially handed over two state-of-the-art multi-purpose sport facilities and attire in Mitchell's Plain in the Western Cape, as part of the Department's Ministerial Outreach Programme.

The programme serves as a continuous government effort commissioned by the national department through its agencies and partners to develop schools and community sports.

The 2025 edition of the Africa Travel Indaba begins today in Durban, where over 1 300 exhibitors from 27 countries are expected to participate in the three-day summit, which will be held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre.

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Tourism and Environmental Affairs Musa Zondi, says they anticipate that the event will inject millions into the province’s GDP through short- and long-term partnerships.
