2025 BMX Freestyle South African Championships crowned

The 2025 BMX Freestyle South African Championships were hosted at the newly built SkyLab Skatepark at the Joxi-X Adventure Park in Bryanston, Johannesburg, where some of the country’s most talented BMX Freestyle riders competed for the title of South African BMX Freestyle champion.

The park offered riders a variety of obstacles and line choices to showcase their skills in their bid to impress the judges through the qualifying rounds and finals.

WWF celebrates SA's natural wonders

The World Wide Fund for Nature South Africa organization, has launched the #BeleiveinBetter Photography competition, in celebration of the country’s natural wonders.

Participants were encouraged to submit photographs that showcased the people, places and wildlife that represent the country’s extraordinary natural heritage.

The competition serves as a powerful way to shine a light on South Africa’s diverse environment.
Winners will be announced on the 2nd of July followed by a curated public exhibition.
A total of 1,100 entries has been submitted.

Air France launches seasonal flights between Cape Town and Paris

Air France has announced the return of its seasonal direct flights between Cape Town and Paris for the 2025/2026 summer season, offering travellers a seamless way to experience the best of both destinations.

Operating from 15 December 2025 to 12 January 2026, the airline will run daily nonstop flights between the Mother City and the French capital, perfectly timed for South Africa’s summer holidays and Europe’s festive peak travel season.

The expanded service not only makes it easier for European travelers to explore Cape Town’s beaches, winelands, and rich culture, but also gives South Africans greater connectivity to Europe, the Americas, and beyond via Paris.
