Rivonia rooftop transformed into community sports hub
The Chinese Association has transformed an unused rooftop parking area at Rivonia Central into a multi purpose sports hub for the community.
The new facility features basketball, netball and volleyball courts and is open to people of all ages, with its official launch including exhibition matches and a three on three basketball tournament.
The venue is already home to a growing youth basketball programme and aims to bring residents from different backgrounds together through sport.

Trek4Mandela climbers prepare to summit Kilimanjaro for girls' education
Climbers from South Africa and abroad are preparing to take on Mount Kilimanjaro as part of the annual Trek4Mandela expedition in honour of Nelson Mandela's legacy.
The initiative raises funds and awareness for the Imbumba Foundation's Caring4Girls programme, which helps tackle period poverty by providing menstrual products and health education to schoolgirls across Southern Africa.
Since its launch in 2012, the expedition has inspired hundreds of participants to turn a physical challenge into a mission that supports dignity, education and brighter futures for young girls. First time climber Ayanda Ali says she has been encouraged by the support she has received

Noordwyk parkrun helps stock food pantry for families in need
The Noordwyk parkrun community has once again stepped up to support vulnerable families by collecting non perishable food during its annual Winter Solstice drive.
Over four weeks, participants, volunteers and residents donated essential items including canned food, mealie meal, rice and sugar, which were handed over to Christ Church to help families facing food insecurity.
The donations are expected to provide food for more than 100 families during July, as the community continues to rally behind those in need this winter.

LEGO has revealed its largest Architecture series set, a detailed replica of Barcelona's famous Sagrada Família, designed by renowned Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí.
The model stands about 60 centimetres tall and is made up of more than 12 000 pieces, capturing the intricate design and colourful interior of the world renowned basilica.
The release coincides with the completion of the landmark this year, almost 150 years after construction first began and 100 years after Gaudí's death.
