Fourways volunteers are using knitting to support people in need this winter.
Members of Community Hours’ Knit and Natter groups gathered at Cedar Square on 11 July to make blankets, beanies and other handmade items for charity.
The group creates donations for vulnerable communities, schools and children in hospitals.
The event also brought knitters together to share skills, build friendships and support local volunteer work.

SAMA Announces Nominees Across 25 Categories

The South African Music Awards have announced nominees for their 32nd edition, featuring artists across 25 categories.
The awards, themed the “Homecoming Edition”, will return to the North West Province, with the main ceremony taking place at Sun City Superbowl in August.
The nominees for the top five categories, including Album of the Year and Male and Female Artist of the Year, will be announced in the coming weeks.
RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi says this year’s nominations reflect the range of music produced in South Africa.
