The World Sports Betting Randburg Harriers Valentine’s Night Race takes place this evening at 7pm at the Randburg Sports Complex.
Runners, walkers and families will gather for the annual event, which includes a 10km competitive race for athletes aged 14 and older, as well as a 5km fun run open to participants from five years old.
Organisers expect more than 3,000 people to take part.
Marshals and JMPD officers will monitor safety along the route, with entertainment planned for both children and adults.

MultiChoice Group has handed over a multipurpose sports court to St Mary’s Secondary School in Mahikeng.
The court enables seven-a-side soccer, netball, modified hockey and volleyball, giving learners access to safe, on-site sporting facilities.
The handover followed a physical education training programme that equipped educators to deliver structured and inclusive sport lessons.
The company says this project forms part of the Let’s Play initiative, which invested over R40 million in school sport across South Africa and reached more than 117,000 children in 2025.
