Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra launches national tour

The Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra is hosting a national tour that aims to reconnect South Africans with the richness of their cultural and musical heritage.
The Voices of Home tour will take place in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, from the 10th to the16th of December.
The orchestra says the tour forms part of its broader mission to make orchestral music accessible across the country.
The Artistic Director Bongani Tembe says the theme was inspired by the growing global recognition of South African artistic excellence and the strong cultural voice that has emerged from the continent.

The Tshwane Metro is working towards having 226 arterial roads across its seven regions fully illuminated by the end of December as part of its seasonal safety drive.
The MMC for utility services says the initiative is part of the arterial roads #switch on Tshwane programme, which began on the 18th of November.
The project forms part of the city’s safety campaign aimed at enhancing visibility and improving road safety during the holiday season when travel volumes traditionaly increase.

The Mpumalanga government has kicked off the holiday season with the launch of it's Tourism Festive Season Campaign in Mbombela.
The province is gearing up for an influx of travellers, with both local and global visitors expected to explore its world-class attractions, hospitality and breathtaking landscapes this December.
The year’s campaign comes on the back of a major tourism win where the province welcomed over one million international visitors in April, a milestone that injected significant economic activity into the province and reaffirmed its status as one of South Africa’s top travel destinations.
