The Home Affairs Department has announced the expansion of smart ID and passport services to more bank branches.
These will now be available on the banking apps of Capitec Bank, FNB, and Standard Bank in the coming months.
Until now, smart ID and passport services were only available at 30 branches spread between 5 different banks.

The market, which opened on August 1 and runs until August 17, has transformed the mall's upper-level parking area into a colorful extravaganza.
It opens daily from 10am to 9pm with an entrance fee of R10.
Marketing Manager at Clearwater Mall, Prianka Singh Rodgers says this market is designed to bring people together, honouring cultural connections and making room for fun.

Springboks To Face Australia In The first Rugby Championship Test

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has named his team to tackle Australia in the first Rugby Championship Test of the season at Ellis Park on Saturday.
The teams will meet again the following Saturday in Cape Town before the Boks face the All Blacks in back-to-back Tests in New Zealand and then Argentina in home and away Tests.
Siya Kolisi will lead the team, while Aphelele Fassi has beaten out the challenge of Damian Willemse to start at fullback.
Boks centre, Jesse Kriel says the training they had in the last 3 weeks was intense and they will be up for the challenge against the Wallabies:
