Reach For A Dream has given young children the opportunity to experience the thrill of supercars at the Festival of Motoring at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.

The children were treated to hot laps and a day at the track as part of the organization’s monthly Dream Club programme.

Reach for a dream's Gauteng Regional Manager Slindile Tsotetsi says the experience aimed to give the children courage and hope while creating lasting memories.
Proceeds from Cartrack’s hot-lap experience at the festival will be donated to the organization in support of its programmes.

7 South African women researchers have been awarded the Professor Sherly Motaung fellowships at the 2026 South African women in Science Awards.
Their research covers biodiversity, tax Justice, infectious disease diagnostics, forestry, Agriculture, genetics and astronomy.

The awards recognise and reward excellence in science, technology and innovation by South African women and celebrate outstanding researchers and scientists whose achievements inspire the next generation of women and girls to pursue careers in Science Technology and Innovation.

The Fellowships have been renamed in honour of the late Prof. Shirley Keolebogile Motaung, who is one of South Africa's most distinguished women scientists and academics.

The city of Cape Town is inviting filmmakers to apply for support through an additional Film Fund round.
The fund provides financial support or municipal services support for projects produced in Cape Town.
