Mango Groove Celebrates 40 Years with Jozi Concert

South African pop group Mango Groove will mark 40 years of making music with a major concert at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in Roodepoort on Sunday.
The show, titled “Memories and Moments,” follows a sold-out anniversary performance at Cape Town’s Kirstenbosch Gardens earlier this year.
The Joburg concert will feature guest appearances from Ross Learmonth and Majozi, expanded staging, and performances by the Special Star dancers.
Formed in the 1980s, Mango Groove is renowned for blending marabi, kwela, and pop, with hits including Special Star, Dance Some More, and Another Country.
The anniversary celebrations also include new merchandise, remixes of classic songs, and long-term projects such as a documentary, a docudrama series, and a stage musical.
