Johannesburg's Park-and-Ride Master Plan
Story 1
Johannesburg's Park-and-Ride Master Plan will create parking facilities linked to public transport across the city.
Last month the Johannesburg Development Agency announced that it has embarked on the Park-and-Ride Master Plan project to reduce traffic and ensure better experiences for commuters.
The Park-and-Ride method was usually used for concerts or sports events that attract hundreds of people, however, the city is now considering it as a permanent feature.
Under the plan, private car users would park at designated areas located near public transport hubs and then complete their journeys using public transport.
