WC government expects to create about 45 thousand new jobs

The Western Cape government says its recent Investment Summit in Cape Town is expected to create around 45 thousand new jobs.
Premier Alan Winde says the province has also signed a new international partnership with the Paris Region, focusing on technology, tourism, and the creative industries.
Winde says the summit attracted more than 520 delegates and showcased over 200 investment-ready projects in sectors such as the green economy, agribusiness, manufacturing, and green hydrogen.
He says there were over 1,600 meetings held between investors and project owners — and 81 percent of participants rated those engagements as good to excellent.
