The Johannesburg Development Agency is leading the expansion of a Universal Design Access plan to ensure that all Joburg residents can move freely and safely across the city's public transport network. The UDAP says it will assess stations, vehicles, customer care and digital platforms to help create a fully accessible, user-friendly transport experience for all, including the elderly and persons with disabilities.

Proffesor of AI at the university of Johannesburg says AI has great potential to transform Africa. Prof. Abejide Ade-Abjola sees it as an opportunity for the continent’s youth to lead innovation. He emphasized the importance of investing in AI training and creating opportunities for young people to solve real-world problems. Initiatives like GRIT Lab Africa and the UJ Innovation Lab are already training students in practical AI skills, with over 2,000 graduates working on impactful projects. With support from Huawei Cloud, Africa is positioned to advance in AI and contribute to global progress.
