Heart Health Foundation offers free checks
The Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa offered free health screenings at Montclair Mall in Durban . This initiative was part of the HSFSA’s efforts to raise awareness about heart disease and prevention. Free tests were offered for blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, body mass index checks, and women’s health screenings. These services aimed to help identify and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke in the community.

78-Year-Old Restores Vintage Fighter Jet
An Aviation enthusiast has restored a Mirage F1 fighter jet in Brakpan. 78-year-old Gordon Dyne from Bedfordview was inspired by a film he saw as a child and has since built a personal collection of aviation memorabilia. He found the Mirage F1 on a farm, had it fully restored, and unveiled it in December. The jet now stands alongside another restored Mirage F1, both proudly displayed outside his private hangar.
