Children at New Hope School in Pretoria now have a bigger, better, and more inclusive playground thanks to a revamp led by volunteers on RED Day.
Social worker Wilma Pretorius says the specially designed space will boost physical, social, and cognitive development for learners with special needs.
Tracks have been added for wheelchairs, and the play area now includes shaded canopies, a bigger sandpit, and buddy benches. Principal Gerhard Venter thanked all involved, saying the upgrade ensures that every child, regardless of ability, can now play, learn, and thrive together.
