. The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, will today provide a briefing on South Africa’s G20 Presidency in Pretoria.

The country assumed the role of President of the G20 on the 01st of December 2024, taking over from Brazil.

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation says Lamola will provide an update on the country’s progress so far and preparations for the G20 Leaders’ Summit scheduled for November this year.

The Tshwane Economic Development Agency in partnership with the South African Electro-technical Export Council and the City of Tshwane hosted the Tshwane SMME Symposium.

The event was aimed at empowering and supporting small, medium, and micro enterprises
across the city of Tshwane, bringing together corporates and government stakeholders to explore business opportunities and foster meaningful partnerships.

City of Tshwane Executive Mayor Nasiphi Moya, has emphasised the crucial role of SMMEs in local economic development and is calling on the participation of the SMME sector, on the draft informal trading and township economy bylaw, that is currently out for public comment.
