Two South Africans Shine at Golden Shears World Championships
Story 2
Two South Africans have made their mark at the Golden Shears World Championships in Masterton, New Zealand.
Bonile Rabela claimed the Blade Shearing World Championship for the second time while Teboho Nyatsa took silver.
Herman Archer from the South African Sheep Shearing Federation says winning in New Zealand, the heart of international shearing, is a special achievement.
He says that becoming a champion takes more than speed. Shearers must work carefully, handle each sheep with skill, and ensure every cut of wool is clean.
Their performance is a proud moment for South Africa and a reminder of the dedication and determination that keep the country at the forefront of blade shearing.
