Pensioners can renew licences without online booking in Ekurhuleni
Story 1
Elderly residents in Ekurhuleni can renew their driver’s licences through a weekly Wednesday walk-in service at testing centres across the city.
The initiative makes municipal services more accessible for pensioners who may struggle with digital platforms. Residents simply need to bring their ID, current licence, and any relevant medical certificates.
City officials say the service prioritises older drivers, reduces waiting times, and is part of broader efforts to ensure public services are inclusive and accessible.
