Usizolwethu Special Needs School in Gauteng received a R2 million investment to expand digital learning for pupils with intellectual disabilities.
The Vodacom Foundation, with support from the Gauteng Department of Education, provided the funding, which will supply ICT infrastructure, solar-powered connectivity, special needs equipment, renovated learning labs, and a vegetable garden to support nutrition and sustainability.
The investment is helping students with special needs access the tools and opportunities they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Starting this year, the programme will identify talented athletes and provide coaching, mentorship, education, and medical care to help them progress from grassroots boxing to professional careers.
It will also offer training, guidance, and competition opportunities for current and retired boxers, while gradually expanding support to fighters across Africa.
The foundation says its goal is to help athletes grow both in the ring and in life, giving them the tools to succeed on and off the ring.
