South Africa will launch two new ETA visa categories

The Department of Home Affairs is preparing to introduce two new visa categories under the electronic travel authorization visa framework.
The Home affairs Minister Dr Leon Schreiber announced the initiatives as part of the department's efforts to transform into an economic enabler.
The first initiative called STAGES, aims to simplify visa access for film production companies by eliminating outdated, paper-based systems.
The second initiative named MEETS, will ensure that visa applications for international attendees at major conferences, sporting events and exhibitions, will be processed online, ensuring rapid turnaround times.

Lesotho’s Prime Minister, Sam Matekane, recently conducted a site visit to the Metsi a Lesotho Rural WASH Project — a landmark initiative aimed at addressing the pressing water and sanitation needs of rural communities across the country.
The project is a collaborative effort between the Government of Lesotho, UNICEF and the European Union, and forms part of the national strategy to enhance access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services.
Matekane underscored the importance of equitable water access for all Basotho citizens, regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic status.
The water Project is set to benefit approximately 250 communities located in some of the most remote and hard-to-reach areas of Lesotho over the next 5 years.
