Mrs South Africa pageant unveils 2025 top 30 Finalists

The Mrs South Africa pageant has officially announced its 2025 top 30 finalists following a competitive semi-final round which was held at Hotel Sky in Sandton.

The semi-final showcase which began on the 2nd of July, included empowerment workshops, presentations and in-depth judging sessions and featured a performance by singer-songwriter Lloyd Cele.

The finalists were announced after three days of closed interviews, workshops and rehearsals.

The contestants were assessed on leadership potential, community involvement, and communication skills.

The semi-finals concluded last Friday with a glamorous stage event, where the contestants stepped into the spotlight one last time before the final cut.

Mpumalanga Education Department rolls out 2025 Winter Vacation Classes

The Mpumalanga Department of Education is currently running its 2025 Winter Vacation Classes,
aimed at assisting under performing schools.

A total of 23 000 learners from underperforming schools – that achieved below 80% in the 2024 National Senior Certificate Examination – are enrolled in the winter program which will conclude on the 18th of July.

The sessions are being held at 107 established centres across the province, including 15 residential sites.

The Department of Education’s spokesperson, Gerald Sambo says the classes aim to help learners catch up on lost academic ground and will expose the learners to teaching strategies from the province’s most skilled and knowledgeable educators.

South African actress, Khanyi Mbau has made history as the first African to receive a nod at the international Netflix Reality Universe Superlative awards.

The media personality has been making waves in the acting industry as she has appeared on many shows, including “Meet The Khumalos”, "Happiness is a Four-letter Word”, “The Wife” as well as “Young, Famous & African”, among many others.

The 39-year-old has been nominated under the category of “Main Character Energy” at the prestigious awards for her reality TV show stints on “Young, Famous & African.”

Mbau excitedly took to social media to make an announcement about the international nod to her fans and urged them to support her.
