Western Cape Grade 3 learners achieve record results

The Western Cape Education Department says Grade 3 learners have achieved their highest ever results in Mathematics and Language, with pass rates rising to 62 percent in Mathematics and 51 percent in Language.
The improvements follow the #BackOnTrack programme, which includes structured language teaching, teacher training and extra classroom time for foundational skills.
Education MEC David Maynier says the results mean more children can read and calculate effectively, giving them a stronger start in school and better chances for future success
