Instagram rolls out new feature giving users control over their Reels algorithm
Story 3
Instagram has launched a new AI-powered tool called Your Algorithm, giving users a clearer view of how their Reels feed is shaped and letting them adjust it in real time. The feature shows the topics the app believes a user is interested in and allows them to increase or reduce how often those subjects appear.
Meta says the update is designed to offer more transparency and make feeds more relevant as people’s interests change. The tool is expected to expand to other parts of the app, including Explore.
Instagram has described the feature as a first of its kind, launching in the United States and rolling out globally in English soon.
It comes as platforms face growing pressure to give users more control over algorithm-driven content.
