Angel Network Gauteng donates 520 backpacks

Non-Profit Organisation, Angel Network Gauteng has donated 520 backpacks filled with stationery, snacks, toiletries, lunchboxes, and juice to children across Gauteng this Christmas.
Volunteers, donors, and sponsors collected and assembled the backpacks to support youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Ninety-four backpacks have already been distributed to Education of Hope Africa, with more planned for other local children.
The initiative gives children essential school supplies and community support, helping them start the new year with hope and dignity.

OpenAI brings well-known characters to life

OpenAI has signed its first major licensing deal to bring well-known characters to life on its Sora video generation tool.
The company says the agreement with Walt Disney is part of a push to ensure the rights of creators in the generative AI space.
The initial three-year licensing deal will allow Sora users to generate and share videos based on more than 200 Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars characters.
These include Mickey Mouse, Cinderella and Luke Skywalker.
Sora allows people to quickly create realistic clips based merely on text prompts.
