The Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa has extended applications for its PRISMS Young Voices 2026 programme.
The opportunity is open to aspiring communications professionals and final-year students under 30, with applications now closing on 15-August.
Selected participants will receive industry mentorship, networking opportunities and exposure to award-winning public relations campaigns.

Swimmer Tackles Robben Island Challenge for Autism

A South African swimmer will tackle a 7.5-kilometre crossing from Robben Island to Bloubergstrand in October to raise funds for children with autism and other learning needs.
Wilna Becker is taking on the swim as part of the Strokes of Hope campaign, which will support the Green Leaves Academic Wellness Centre in Limpopo.
Funds raised will help the centre buy sensory play equipment, classroom whiteboards, scooters and swimming equipment for therapy.
The campaign was inspired by Becker’s 5-year-old nephew, who is on the autism spectrum.
