Christmas in July event supports rescue dogs

A Christmas in July event at Fourways Crossing brought together families and animal lovers to raise funds and support Woodrock Animal Rescue.
Organised by local entrepreneur Rachel Smith, the event featured pet related vendors, with proceeds from stall fees going towards the rescue organisation.
The day also encouraged people to consider adoption, volunteering and donating to help care for rescue dogs while they wait for forever homes.

Expanded Gqeberha Hospital Aims to Improve Access to Specialised Care
The newly expanded Edge Day Hospital in Gqeberha has officially opened, adding capacity for specialised medical procedures through a partnership between the public and private sectors.
The facility, which was first built in 2021, includes four theatres and 23 beds and is expected to help address gaps in specialised care and reduce patient backlogs.
The Eastern Cape government says the partnership could also create opportunities for healthcare professionals and support economic activity, while improving access to treatment for patients.
