CETA, V&A Waterfront Launch Skills Programme

The Construction Education and Training Authority and the V&A Waterfront have launched a work-based skills programme in Cape Town.
The programme will give learners practical workplace training, with participants spending more than half their training on site.
CETA has allocated R320 million over three years, while the wider R24 billion development is expected to support 120,000 direct and indirect jobs over 10 to 15 years.
The programme will also help learners access employment and business opportunities in construction, retail and other sectors.

A new Whitney Houston compilation album and Barbie doll have been released to celebrate the late singer’s legacy.
The 11-track album features some of Houston’s number-one hits, including the first streaming release of a remix of My Name Is Not Susan.
Mattel launched the Whitney Houston Barbie on Sunday, which would have been the singer’s 63rd birthday.
The doll recreates Houston’s look from the I Wanna Dance with Somebody era and is part of Mattel’s Barbie Music Series.
