The grand opening of Pretoria’s Ndlala Mall will now take place on 23 August with R&B stars Joe and Donell Jones headlining the celebration.
The relaunch follows a postponement after original headliner Tank withdrew. Joe, who performed at the Women’s Day concert in Sandton, announced he will remain in South Africa to support mall owner Thami Ndlala.
The newly refurbished venue, formerly Sterland Mall, has been transformed under Ndlala’s Ndlalayesizwe Real Estate group and will open with performances aimed at making the occasion a standout event for the city.

Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has reaffirmed its dedication to investing in Durban and the wider KwaZulu-Natal region.
This commitment was highlighted during a high-level meeting with eThekwini Municipality, including Mayor Cyril Xaba and TSAM CEO Andrew Kirby.
The discussion focused on accelerating infrastructure projects such as road upgrades, water supply improvements, and power substation refurbishments in the Prospecton Precinct, where TSAM’s manufacturing plant is located.

The Tshwane Tourism Association has revealed the finalists for the inaugural Tshwane Tourism Awards.
The awards aim to celebrate and elevate the tourism sector in South Africa’s capital by recognising businesses and individuals who excel in visitor experiences, community impact, and sustainable growth.
Finalists were evaluated on tourism excellence, community contribution, team culture, industry collaboration, and business growth.
Categories include Guesthouse, Tour Operator, Restaurant, Spa and Wellness, Lodge, Supplier, Education and Training, Hotel, Tourist Attraction, and Conference Venue of the Year.
Winners will be announced at a gala event on August 16 at Batter Boys Village in Pretoria, promising an evening of celebration and industry connection.
