Music lovers were treated to a fiery and uplifting lunchtime concert as Trio Gloriosa took to the stage on Friday at Theatre on the Square in Sandton.The accomplished trio delivered an energetic and expressive performance, highlighting both their musical chemistry and technical brilliance. Audience members were fully engaged, responding warmly to the trio’s dynamic stage presence and emotive interpretations.Over the years, the ensemble has performed across the country, appearing in concert series hosted by the Unisa Music Foundation, Glenshiel and Theatre on the Square, as well as the Aardklop National Arts Festival.

Implemented by UNESCO, the initiative aims to strengthen resilience against hate speech, disinformation and online violence in polarised communities. Moxii Africa’s head of programmes, Thandi Smith, said the workshops focus on raising awareness and equipping participants with practical ways to counter digital harm.

In his acceptance speech, Pienaar said the honour was humbling and credited his success to the opportunities he received in his journey. Boost for Para-Sport Funding in SA

The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee has increased funding to the South African Sports Association for the Physically Disabled. This has increased from 60 million rand to 100 million rand for the next four years.The funding will support training programmes, equipment purchases, and competition access for athletes with disabilities across South Africa. SASCOC President Barry Hendricks says the association will use the funds to expand participation and prepare athletes for national and international events
