Eskom has launched its first fleet of 20 electric vehicles to support cleaner energy goals.
The vehicles, ranging from delivery vans to light trucks, will be primarily used in the distribution and generation divisions to cut costs and reduce emissions.
Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says the power utility plans to fully electrify its fleet by 2035 and will roll out 55 new public charging stations within two years:

The event, which featured 55km and 20km routes, drew runners from across the region to explore the breathtaking scenery of the Royal Natal National Park.
Every entry contributed to conservation funds, supporting the park's eco-tourism operations and the Bearded Vulture recovery program.
The event showcased the beauty of the Drakensberg mountains while promoting environmental conservation and sustainable tourism.
