Queen Butterfly workshop empowers women and supports children
Story 1
Women attended a personal protection workshop at Featherbrooke Estate, hosted by INpowered in collaboration with the Queen Butterfly Foundation.
The session included practical self-defence training, teaching participants how to respond to potential threats and stay calm in dangerous situations.
A symbolic exercise had each participant write their name and personal fears on wooden blocks, which they then broke using the skills they had learned, helping them face fears and build confidence.
All proceeds from the workshop went to the Queen Butterfly Foundation, which provides specialised programmes for children and young adults with serious mental and physical disabilities, including play therapy, rehabilitation, and transport support.
