Strong rand and cheaper oil ease inflation pressure
Story 2
A stronger rand and lower oil prices are expected to keep inflation steady in South Africa.
Fuel prices dropped this month as oil costs remained moderate and the rand held firm against the dollar. Economists say this stability should prevent fuel from driving up inflation figures due out on Wednesday.
Brent crude continues to trade below sixty five dollars a barrel, and analysts predict it will stay that way as global demand remains subdued.
With inflation currently at three point four percent, experts say South Africa’s price outlook remains stable, supported by the stronger currency and moderate oil market.

Paris metro phases out paper tickets
Story 3
The Paris metro and suburban rail network has discontinued the sale of traditional paper tickets, including the famous "Carnet de 10".
They have been replaced by electronically rechargeable cards, smartphone tickets, and subscriptions, which are already widely used by travellers.
The move is also aimed at protecting the environment, as over 500 million paper tickets were sold annually and often discarded.
Existing paper tickets can still be used until next year or exchanged at a later date, while tourists can now use the "Navigo Easy" card to load multi-day passes or individual tickets.
