The Winnie Mabaso Foundation has donated five cardiac monitors and medical trolleys to a children’s oncology ward in Johannesburg.
The equipment will help healthcare workers monitor patients’ heart activity and respond faster during medical emergencies.
The ward previously faced shortages of essential monitoring equipment used in cancer treatment and patient care.
Rainbows and Smiles, which supports children with cancer and hospital staff, welcomed the donation as a boost to the ward’s medical capacity.

Teaser / Tailpiece story
The South African Football Association, led by Commercial and Marketing Manager Errol Madlala, has launched the #BafanaFriday campaign to build support for the national men’s football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The initiative calls on supporters in South Africa and abroad to wear green and gold every Friday as Bafana Bafana prepare for the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The campaign builds on earlier national movements such as Football Fridays and Fly the Flag Fridays introduced during the 2010 FIFA World Cup build-up.
Madlala says the weekly activation is aimed at strengthening support, unity and national pride around the team’s World Cup campaign:
