Thousands of learners across South Africa will put their maths skills to the test this month in the first rounds of the South African Mathematics Olympiad and the South African Mathematics Challenge.
The competitions give learners a chance to think beyond the classroom, sharpen their problem-solving skills and build confidence in mathematics.
High school learners will write the Olympiad tomorrow, while primary school learners from Grade 4 will take part in the Challenge between the 16th and 20th of March.
Learners who score 50 percent or more will move on to the second round in May, bringing them one step closer to competing at national and international level.
