Vodacom Invests in Daveyton Special Needs School

The Vodacom Foundation, with support from the Gauteng Department of Education, has invested R2 million in Usizolwethu Special Needs School to boost digital learning for pupils with intellectual disabilities.
The funding will provide advanced ICT infrastructure, solar-powered connectivity, special needs equipment, renovated learning labs, and even a vegetable garden to promote nutrition and sustainability.
Principal Nombulelo Skosana said the investment will enrich learning and prepare students for the digital economy.
Vodacom says this forms part of its wider Schools of Excellence programme, which supports 39 schools nationwide and about 40,000 learners.
