A new dance production will pay tribute to African women at the POPArt Theatre in Johannesburg on 13th and 14th March.
'From You to Me', by Llewellyn Mnguni, blends contemporary, ballet and African dance to show how women shape and inspire their communities.

36 cyclists ride 1,057km to raise money for children’s surgeries

36-riders from the Grandads Army Memorial Ride cycled 1,057km from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town to raise money for the Eyabantwa Trust, which funds life-changing surgeries for children.
The teams rode in a relay over four days, stopping in towns such as Cradock, Willowmore, Montagu and Hermanus, and finished together at the Cape Town Cycle Tour in Gordons Bay.
During the ride, they dealt with mechanical problems, were escorted by traffic and fire officials, and successfully raised R800,000 to help pay for the children’s surgeries.

CAF prize money increased for African club competitions

CAF President Patrice Motsepe has announced a major prize money increase for African club competitions ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The winner of the CAF Champions League will receive 98-million-rand, up from 40-million-rand, while the CAF Confederation Cup champion’s prize money will increase to 65-million-rand, from 20.4-million-rand since Motsepe’s 5-year leadership.
The latest increases take the overall prize money of African Clubs to over 685-million-rand per season.
Motsepe says the changes aim to strengthen African football and increase financial support to clubs across the continent.
