South Africa will face Mexico this evening at 9pm in their opening match of the FIFA World Cup in Mexico.
The tournament is being hosted across Mexico, the United States and Canada.
Several former South African players are in Mexico for the match and will follow Bafana Bafana’s campaign.

Team South Africa returns from Mexico tournament

Team South Africa has returned from the international football tournament, Street Child World Cup, in Mexico after competing in football, arts and congress programmes over 10 days.
The team of girls aged 14 to 17 reached the semi-finals, recording wins against Brazil, the USA and other countries before being eliminated by hosts Mexico.
They also took part in arts workshops and congress sessions, where players discussed issues affecting street-connected children and shared experiences from their communities.
After returning home, the team will run football clinics in their communities as part of a leadership and development programme.

Hillcrest High School learners won top honours at the Edufleek DHS Model United Nations Conference.
Leon Markwell received the Gold Award for Best Delegate after helping draft a joint resolution on digital surveillance and national security that won unanimous support from delegates.
Lubanzi Maluleka and Sinenhloso Shozi, representing Kenya, received Silver for Best Delegation.
The Hillcrest team competed against 12 other school delegations from across South Africa.
