AfriPaw Expands Pet Care Services to Seawinds Community

AfriPaw Animal Welfare has expanded its work in the Vrygrond area with a second Pet Clinic in Seawinds, bringing veterinary care closer to township pets.
For nearly a decade, the organisation has provided free sterilisations, basic healthcare and food support in low-income communities. The new clinic, based at Zerilda Park Primary School, treated 177 pets on its opening day.

Story 3
67 Blankets has marked a major milestone after distributing 3,000 handmade blankets to people in need across Gauteng.
The 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day says the latest distribution has cleared its Gauteng headquarters shelves, with blankets sent to hospitals, old age homes and community organisations.
The movement is driven by volunteer “KnitWits” who knit, sew and crochet blankets throughout the year, supporting ongoing outreach efforts linked to Mandela Day.
Organisers say the empty shelves reflect impact, showing that warmth is reaching those who need it most.

Apple Introduces New Child Safety Features for iPhones
Teaser / Tailpiece story
Technology company Apple is rolling out new child safety features aimed at helping parents manage how children use their iPhones.
The updates, expected later this year, will allow parents to control which websites their children can access, restrict app downloads and set time limits for specific types of apps. Parents will also be able to block phone usage during school hours or family mealtimes.
Apple software engineer Craig Federighi says the changes are designed to give parents greater control over how their children use technology.
